Yeah you don't need to unzip as long as you save the new svg somewhere else.
The origin doesn't seam to matter because I scaled horz and vert to 75%, resized, and it didn't miss-align.
I got sick of trying to find the actual svg in the dir so I always use the 'save new part, export' now.
