Identifying Core Fritzing Parts

I expect that would be because it is a generic pot, aimed at representing the class "pot with shaft" rather than any specific make or model. In fact if you drag it to the breadboard and click on it in inspector you can change the linear to log (the two most common tapers) and the type to slide, thumb wheel with switch or trimmer. if you need a specific make or model for something you would need to either find or make a specific part for it.
