You probably don’t know, but you have to be very specific because this is engineering. It seams the 328P comes in 2 packages, so no one knows which one. Always look up the datasheet so you can explain...

PWR GND planes THT connected

If I have a 5V top layer/plane, and a GND bottom layer/plane, how does FZ know to not connect the 2 together when you add a THT part - I’m assuming all THT parts are plated holes in the PCB -.

PWR GND planes THT connected

Yes holes for THT pins will plated. At least assuming the part has been defined with both copper0 and copper1 layers for the pin. To avoid connecting the layer/plane, you “fill” the ground and power...

PWR GND planes THT connected

I thought there would be a problem, so it’s SMD only. I was doing a tutorial and playing with ground fill - I’m not a FZ superuser - and I got it to work, but then I remembered plated holes. You set a...

Deleting duplicate parts bins?

I have many duplicate ‘core’ and ‘contrib’ parts bins on the vertical roster in ‘parts’ box. When I right click on them, the ‘delete bin’ function is lightened, so i’t’s not available. Did a search,...

Not ‘simple’, but possible. I reported this as a bug recently. Duplicate part bins To fix, you need to manually edit the config file while Fritzing is shut down to remove the duplicate entries. The...

That’s not a DIP. The DIP’s are 28 pin. Of course, you can use whichever you want. Look at the spec to learn why one is 28 and other is 32 pins (THT and SMD)…
