Drill size does not match the copper hole size

Good idea on the non-elliptical pads. A tear drop shape should work. Although in this usage I am not to worried about stress on the pins.

Thanks for the tip on Gerbv. I went to check if gerbv was available for Linux and it turns out that is what I have installed. I just thought it was gerbview since the title bar says Gerber viewer. I'll will be sure to check out the measurement tool.

All sorts of fail converting Schematic to Bread Board

Schematic:

Fritzing BB View:

Total n00b: I am trying to layout my breadboard based this schematic, but I'm not sure if I've even come close. The LM34 in the graphic is actually a SS494B hall effect sensor. The schematic view in Fritzing is all sorts of wrong, and I assume the PCB view is as well.

Basically I wired all of this up, and I still get millivolts at what should be the Pin 7 to Arduino. I don't seem to get any amplification at all at pin 1. My assumption was that i translated the Schematic to the BB completely wrong. How off am I?

It seams you have a problem working out Fritzing, and that the circuit doesn't work based on your interpretation of the SCH.

I would start again and do the SCH first using the LM324N - there is a LM124-324 in the core bin -. Then check that every connection to a pin is green, and that every junction is actually connected by grabbing the junction and moving it and making sure all the wires move with it.

Then go to the BB view and trust the ratsnest. You can click on a pin on a part and every place it can connect to will turn yellow, so run a wire between those two points and the ratsnest should disappear.

Hopefully this will show if there is an error in your original BB layout, and why the Ard isn't getting enough signal.

EDIT
I just noticed your R2 20K pot is missing.

Single Side PCB Autoroute

An autorouter lets you route your board automatically. It’s pretty easy to use. The best way to design a single-sided PCB is not using the autorouter.

Merge 2 pcb"s in 1 new file

Hello,
I like to know if it"s possible to have 2 already designed pcb's in a new file.
I designed 2 pcb's and now I just want to interconnect them using Fritzing for making an understandable big picture!

Does anyone have experience in doing this?

Cheers,

Richard

I need to make a Fritzing Diagram for my robot (it is required as well as building the actual robot) plus it does help when I go to install everything.

I have this Ultrasonic Range Finder (made by Seeedstudio) and Arduino seems to have the actual part (via link below) but it is not in the Fritz libraries.

https://www.arduino.cc/en/tutorial/ping

In Fritz there is already an ultrasonic range finder but this has 4 pins and the one I have (SEN135B5B) only has 3 pins. I have searched Github and contacted Seeedstudio also with no luck.

Can anybody please help! Or know where I can find this part?

Thank you

You can put sketches together, but you can only Gerber 1 at a time.
Here I've added an interface PCB to my main PCB - I think I just boxed the interface, copied it, and pasted it into the main sketch.

Hello Old Grey,

Thanks for Your reply!
Do You mean I have to export it in Gerber first and then import it again into a new File?

Cheers,

Richard

To me it sounds like you're trying to consolidate 2 different fritzing PCB designs into one? Did you try a select ALL, then a copy & paste? It should work... I bet if you play around a bit, you could make it work.

Yeah copy and paste like Racer said, it's just when you go into production you will get an error if you try to make a single gerber with both PCBs. You have to select 1 at a time.

For some reason we only seem to have the four wire version, so I grabbed a copy of that and truncated it to 3 pins (not sure why the color is still blue, Inkscape thinks it is red like the real one ...).

Sparkfun MyoWare Muscle sensor

I am a mechanical engineering student and my project is on a myoelectric prosthetic arm, I require the schematic of the Sparkfun MyoWare Muscle Sensor for my thesis report. I have found the various shield of the sensor in the parts library but not the actual sensor.
Could anyone please tell me if the part is present in the library or how to find it elsewhere?
Thank you

Can't move part to other side (Solved)

I decided to change the schematic image on my IN16 Nixie tube part and after updating the image I am now unable to select which side of the board the part is on. It will appear on which ever side is clickable when placing a new part but you are not given an option in the inspector to change the side once placed. This has ruined the last saved version of my board that was open when I changed the graphic. I tried deleting my new version and importing the old one but the problem persists. I have also rebuilt the parts library but that did not help. Does anyone know the solution? Is there a way to change which side the part is on by editing a file or something as a worst work around?

Here is a sketch with just two of the parts placed on either side of the board during placement but I can't change their sides.

And here is the latest version of my part with the correct schematic image

Hello Old Grey and Landracer,

Thank You a lot for Your feedback, I have tried to (Select all) and paste it into a new field and it works... however it's very tricky because You can only locate the pcb one time and that's where it has to stay.
So far so good, also tried to paste my pcb's into the "Breadboard" field but that's not possible as I just tried.

Thanks a lot for your ideas!

Cheers,

Richard!

Serial Monitor help Arduino

Hello I am having trouble with the Serial Monitor in Fritzing.

I have multiple tabs in fritzing for different sensors. I tested one sensor and the serial monitor opened fine and produced the values I needed. Now when I upload another sensor code and open the serial monitor it still produces the readings from the old sensor code.

I tried clearing the serial monitor but with no luck.

Anybody run into this problem before?

This is all for the Arduino platform. Everything is linked up fine because when I copy the code from fritizing and then open the Arduino software separately it works fine. I can do this but it is annoying to have to keep opening a separate tab to test my code.

Thanks

Sparkfun has a repository of their Fritzing parts (more than are in core) on github, but I don't see this particular part. You might try asking in the Sparkfun forums and see if they will admit to one.
