In the Schematic View you can hide the pin numbers by clicking on View in the top menu then un-check Text Layer, But that will hide all the text numbers and labels on the drawing...

Ah! The trick is that you need to indent the text by 4 spaces before pasting it in. I had tried the preformatted option before but without indenting and it didn't work. Peter
