Parts on perfboard move, creating new connections

Gee I can’t reproduce it now. I think it was the LEDs with bent legs on my Timing Light circuit, and I remember doing something and they popped off the BB.

I suspect CJ problem is more than forcing connections in another view, I think he might have things that look like they are connected but aren’t actually.

Someone could probably work out what’s happening in 3 min if we had the uploaded sketch, but when you don’t know the tricks you could spend hours and still not work it out.

Hello Peter,

Thanks for your suggestion. It was earlier working and after sometime i am not able to open fritzing. I tried deleting the above folders you mentioned, i tried deleting fritzing and unzipping from .zip and opening fritzing.exe but still same observation please refer below.

This has the look of something corrupted in the core parts bin. There is a bug in Fritzing where if a part fails to load because it is corrupted Fritzing seg faults because it doesn’t check that the part loaded correctly and the seg fault causes the above message. That shouldn’t happen on a new install from the distribution zip file though as the parts database there is correct. I’d probably re download the zip file from the fritzing site if you haven’t already in case your local copy is corrupted. You will need to delete the two user directories before running Fritzing because it usually manages to store the corrupted part in the data base before crashing (which means it will try and load the part again on the next run).

I absolutely LOVE Fritzing and thought it was time to help out a bit.
PLEASE, nothing worthwhile in life is free.

Consider a donation to help keep this fantastic resource actively improving.

I have no connection to Fritzing whatsoever.
They did not ask me to do this.
I use it, I want it to continue.

Stop what you’re doing and help out too. Even if it’s just a little!!
DO IT !!

TOTALLY agree.
In fact, I love it SO much, I made a donation tonight.

Won’t everyone who uses it?

Update (s) will not download / install

It looks like the parts repository on your system is corrupted in some what and it won’t sync with github. I’d reinstall Fritzing from the distribution zip file (which will replace the parts repository with an older version) and then wait for the update to complete. Fritzing will appear to hang for a long time (without any indication it is doing anything!) on the first execution but interrupting it before the update completes is usually fatal and requires the user directories to be moved aside or deleted.

A google search on “fritzing part mcp2515” turns up a copy of the IC itself and a canbus shield but no obvious part for this particular module. It is easy enough to make such a part, but as usual there doesn’t appear to be a mechanical drawing which specifies the location of the header pins (needed to make an accurate pcb view in case someone wants to mount it on a board).

Send data from the mq135 gas sensor to the database

Sorry for the late reply, but as far I know, you need some connection between the sensor and the PC that contains the local server, unless you want to do it remotely with some prototyping board with WiFi connection.

If you are doing it with a serial connection to the PC, you could make some python script in order to pre-process the data and then write to the SQL database using SQLAlchemy.

I haven’t done any monetary donation but instead developed some parts requested in these forums, since I don’t have a job yet

Can anyone help me, i need .fzz file or part file for Arduino Pro Mini. please refer attached image of Arduino pro mini what i have. There is part in fritzing but it is not similar than what i have. There is difference in Pins position like gnd, tx, rx etc. pleaer refer below image.

If you have a url that points to the above pictures or a model number of the board to provide the pin information and dimensions it should be easy enough to either find a part or more likely modify one of the current pro minis to match it. The above pictures aren’t clear enough to do it from though.

I also found this pinout diagram that seems to fit (almost):
Attn: I just noticed that this diagram and the picture do not quite match.
The top row is reversed. DTR, TX0, RX1, VCC, GND, GND should be the correct order left to right.
The bottom roe has only A6 and A7. Where A5 is pictured is a GND pin and A4 does not exist

I currently have three variations on the Pro Mini. Two of them are from the same supplier, same description and part number BUT bought at different times and with different pin layouts. Like shooting at a FAST moving target.

Interesting! I would have thought that the pin outs should be the same. From google images, it looks like there may be some different sized boards as well (or may not because scale isn’t clear on the images  ). However all that means is we need a variety of frtizing parts that match a board and thus need the OP to get us a better shot of the board he actually has / needs. At worst you then need to search the available varients for one that matches what you have.

There are many permutations of the Pro Mini.

The left and right pins are exactly the same on all the ones I have encountered.

As are the The TX/RX at one end - as typically an FTDI paddle board plugs into those.

A4-A7 are in a variety of places. One board has an ICSP connector on it.

Usually I only care about A4 and A5 - I2C and I can add them to a PCB using headers.

But ( have lost interest in Arduino’s as STM32 BluePills are as cheap, far more powerful and as easy to use.

OK DeepeshPatidar, here is a part for the .JPEG image you provided.
Arduino Pro Mini V2 (5V).fzpz (27.0 KB)
I scaled the image assuming the side holes are on .1" (2.54mm) centers, so all of the hole positions on the PCB view should match, but I would check it first. I also bussed the GND connection at the bottom of the image to all of the other GND connectors to make them all one.

Have fun!

The Arduino Pro mini I have and the image i uploaded has the A4 and A5 Pin. Please refer below image. We can use theimage(Image used from mike post, Thanks @michaelr5 )se to connect with I2C line.
