Welcome aboard! As noted the documentation is often lacking, so searching for the topic you need in here and/or asking a question here is the usual way to learn.

You have, one you want one? If it is want one, a pointer to a data sheet would be a good start.

There appears to be one here (with the code, you need to right click and save link as to get the .fzpz file downloaded.):

http://omnigatherum.ca/wp/?p=555

A google search for “fritzing part max471” finds it. In general, for that site, if the part doesn’t have a link, then only breadboard exists (as that is all he uses it appears) and he will maybe make a complete part at sometime in the future if you ask. You will usually be better of asking here though (as we are usually faster.) If this doesn’t match what you have, post a link to the part you do have and I will have a look.

Since there isn’t much chance there is one if the google search didn’t find one, I made one (while it takes a long time to learn to make parts, once you have learned small parts like this are relatively easy):

lc-sensor-471.fzpz (7.9 KB)

Download the fzpz file then in Fritzing Open-File and navigate to the lc-sensor-471.fzpz and it will load in to your mine parts bin ready for use.

Thank you so much men, you save me  i was trying to learn how to make one, but it was not going so well

Parts making isn’t easy, but is possible if complex. These tutorials apply to the current version (most of the rest are for earlier versions of the code):

if you only need a couple of parts it likely better to ask, and we are always willing to help you make parts.

As it happens I have a bunch of these in various voltages, currents and shapes. Thus a generic part that isn’t any of them. If you need the pcb view, you will need to edit the pcb svg with Inkscape to match the particular board you have. If (as I expect will be common) you aren’t mounting it on a pcb and it is only single voltage (some of mine are multi output), this should work as is.

Thanks for the links, i will try to learn.

I will keep that in mind :grinning:

There didn’t appear to be one, but since it is a simple part, so now there is. Note that pcb doesn’t even try and match the board (it won’t fit on a pcb anyway i expect), so pcb is 5 holes suitable for .1in headers to attach wires to.

2s-bms.fzpz (7.6 KB)

as well, the connection diagram on the referenced web page appears to be incorrect. I’d suggest checking the datasheet for the charger/limiter chip and trace the wiring to figure out the correct connections.

Hi guys, I’m afraid illness kept me away so I have only just come back to this.

Thanks for the answers, I need to try the suggestions mentioned above, it looks like there may be a way through.

In the meantime I have attached a DXF file renamed with the .FZP extension as requested. The file is just an exemplar one, the red is for cutouts and holes, the white / black is the outline of the ‘wiring’ (what is the proper name for the copper lines between two contacts?). As you can see it is very low density, so I imagine I can improve that

Interested to see what I can do with it

After importing to KiCad did you import into Fritzing?

Cheers

Looks like eagle2fritzing is a bust. The dxf file won’t import (eagle says lines are too big) and even if it did, it appears it will create a footprint not a board (as is needed for eagle2fritzing to work.) I’d guess that you are down to one of @opera_night 's methods to convert if it can be done.

“No”
Unfortunately:
Not able to use .DXF with Fritzing.
Not able to use .DXF in KiCad for other than a Graphic, such as for Silkscreen and Mask.

I Loaded the .DXF into CopperCam and generated Gcode for CNC but, without spending far too much time cleaning DXF and doing what’s needed to get usable results (which could be ‘Hit&Miss’), results were not impressive.

It might be worth your time to completely Remake the design in Fritzing - just use the PCB panel (can follow-up with the Schematic afterwards).
Then, you can copy&paste sections for smaller regions for milling…
